Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Separate

April 04, 2018

After nearly a decade of marriage, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum have announced that they are getting divorced.

In matching posts on Twitter announcing the split, the pair said that they have “lovingly chosen to separate as a couple”.

Their statement added that they will still be a family, and will remain “loving, dedicated” parents to their 4-year-old daughter, Everly.

Tatum and Dewan first met while filming the 2006 dance film, “Step Up”, and began dating shortly afterwards.

They became engaged in September 2008, and married in a Malibu wedding in July 2009.

While many fans have been left shocked at the break-up of one of Hollywood’s favourite couples, inside sources have said that the split “was a long time coming.”

The “Magic Mike” heartthrob actor reportedly moved out of their family home earlier this year, after a long, rocky period of the pair trying to make their relationship work.

According to the source, eventually they realised “that they wanted different things and were no longer on the same path.”
