Chelsea Not Selling Loftus-Cheek

January 10, 2018

Chelsea reportedly has zero interest in selling Ruben Loftus-Cheek because he is part of their long-term plans.

The 21-year-old English international has put in an excellent performance during his season-long loan to Crystal Palace.

Loftus-Cheek said late last year that he was delighted with his increased game time and improved form at the Eagles.

His performance earned him his first call-up for England’s national team, and he was named man of the match in his debut against Germany.

Chelsea announced the arrival of Ross Barkley last week for £15 million from Everton, raising questions over Loftus-Cheek’s future at the club.

Loftus-Cheek and Barkley will be in competition for midfield spots at the Blues with N’Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater.

Crystal Palace boss, Roy Hodgson, has expressed interest in bringing Loftus-Cheek to South London permanently.

However, Chelsea will reportedly reject any offers they receive for their star, and plan to put him in the first team when he returns.
