It’s a Boy for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, has given birth to a baby boy.
The former actress gave birth to the couple’s first child early on Monday morning, 6 May, at their Frogmore Cottage home on the British royal family’s Windsor Estate in London, England.
Speaking to members of the British media at Windsor Castle, the Duchess’ husband, Prince Harry – who was present during the birth – announced the exciting news.
The first-time father gushed: “This is definitely my first birth. It was amazing, absolutely incredible, and, as I said, I’m so incredibly proud of my wife. As every father and parent will ever say … your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon.”
The Duke of Sussex added: “It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension.”
The newborn – who weighed in at 3.2 kilograms and has yet to be named – is seventh in line to the throne, behind his uncle Prince William and William’s three children, and Prince Harry.
