Pitso Wants Three New Signings
Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has revealed they are still looking to bring in three new players in the January transfer window.
The Brazilians have signed Aubrey Ngoma in the current transfer window, and have been linked with SuperSport United striker Jeremy Brockie.
Following Sundowns’ 2-1 win over Ajax Cape Town, Mosimane spoke of his desire to bolster his squad.
“As I told you before, we are using these games for Champions League preparations. So, I think three new players will come,” Mosimane told SuperSport after the game.
The club have been heavily linked with Jeremy Brockie from neighbours SuperSport United since the start of the season and it’s come up again in the current window period, while admittedly they could lose a few players too.
“Jeremy (Brockie) belongs to another club. So I must respect SuperSport United. I can’t talk about Jeremy.
“We might lose (players) because it’s a period of transfers. We are going to lose about three to four. Unfortunately, we have a small squad of 24 players. People know Sundowns with a lot of players but we have 24 in-field players and four goalkeepers.
“So we will see because Thela (Ngobeni) also wants to go and play somewhere else, but we will see. We’ll manage the situation because we don’t have a big squad,” he added.
