Tottenham Hotspur Target Wolves Ace
Wolverhampton Wanderers forward, Diogo Jota, is reportedly being targeted by Tottenham Hotspur.
The 22-year-old Portuguese – who signed with the Wolves from Atletico Madrid in 2018 for £12.6 million – has been a revelation for the club this season. Since the move, he has scored 17 goals for the club during their Championship title-winning campaign last season, as well as netted seven goals in the Premier League this season.
Now, Jota’s impressive performance has apparently caught the attention of the Spurs, who did not sign any new players in the last two transfer windows.
According to reports, Spurs coach, Mauricio Pochettino, believes that Jota could add depth to his side’s offense by sharing goal-scoring responsibilities with striker Harry Kane.
Jota’s contract with the Wolves only expires in 2022. However, a lucrative offer from the Spurs for the forward’s services might persuade the club to sell him off at the end of the season.
