Zlatan Ibrahimovic Rules Out Loan Move in January
LA Galaxy forward, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has ruled out a loan move to a European club in the January transfer window.
The 37-year-old Swede has just completed his first season in Major League Soccer (MLS), having scored 22 goals in 27 appearances for the club.
Although his contract runs until the end of 2019, he has no desire to sign a short term loan deal.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, 6 November, Ibrahimovic – who is currently on a break until the MLS resumes next season – revealed his disinterest in pursuing a loan move.
He said: “If I belong to Galaxy, I am a Galaxy player. I don’t go abroad and do these things – loan(s) and this … I don’t need that.”
The forward continued: “I mean, if I belong to one club, I stay in one club. I focus on that club and I give all my attention to that club … I am not here for a vacation. I am here for the challenge.”
