Arsenal Wunderkind Receives Three Guinness World Records

Max Dowman has officially received three Guinness World Records certificates following his historic breakthrough into Mikel Arteta’s senior squad.

The Hale End academy graduate set his first milestone on 4 November 2025, during a 3-0 victory against Slavia Prague. At 15 years and 308 days old, Dowman became the youngest player in UEFA Champions League history, eclipsing Youssoufa Moukoko’s previous record by 75 days.

His domestic dominance followed shortly after. On 14 March 2026, he scored against Everton at 16 years and 73 days old to become the youngest goalscorer in English Premier League (EPL) history, surpassing James Vaughan’s 2005 record. The 16-year-old Arsenal starlet earned his third certificate as the youngest player to win the EPL after Arsenal clinched the 2025/26 title, achieving the feat at 16 years and 144 days.

These unprecedented achievements earned the teenager a prominent feature in the Guinness World Records Football Edition 2027 as part of its “Class of ‘27”.

With injuries to Kai Havertz and Christos Tzolis, Dowman is now in line for an elevated role ahead of the Gunners’ upcoming clash against Leeds United on Saturday, 10 October.
