Belgian Club Eyeing Mamelodi Sundowns Star

A major club in Belgium has apparently set its sights on Mamelodi Sundowns defender, Malibongwe Khoza.

According to reports as of Wednesday, 7 October, KAA Gent are in need of a defender after their Senegalese signing, Mouhamed Ngom, suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury that could keep him sidelined for up to six months.

As such, Gent are said to be pursuing Khoza as a potential replacement for Ngom.
Austria’s SV Ried and France’s FC Nantes are also purportedly showing interest in the 22-year-old prodigy.

After debuting for Sundowns’ senior team in 2024, Khoza has scored four goals in more than 50 appearances across all competitions for the Premier Soccer League giants. He furthermore boasts four caps for South Africa’s national team.

While Khoza hasn’t shown any sign of making a move to Europe – a continent that has seen a surge in signings from Africa in recent years – it’s encouraging to know that his talent has gained enough recognition to attract international attention.
