Alex Scott: Bournemouth Stand Firm Against Big Six Bids

Bournemouth have turned down a £64m offer from Chelsea for midfielder Alex Scott, insisting the 22-year-old is not for sale despite him rejecting multiple contract extension offers.

The England international, who has two years remaining on his current deal, is valued by the Cherries at £80m. Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Manchester City have also shown keen interest, with Arsenal seeing an initial approach rejected in June.

Having qualified for the Europa League following a sixth-place finish, Bournemouth face no financial pressure to sell. New manager Marco Rose remains determined to retain his star player alongside in-demand teammates Junior Kroupi and Rayan.

Speaking about the young talent, Rose stated: “I think Alex knows what he has with this club, and it’s always about the right moment to do the next step.”

Scott’s impressive performances – which nearly earned him a spot in England’s World Cup squad – have made him a primary target in a hectic transfer market. However, the South Coast side maintain that the former Bristol City player will stay at the Vitality Stadium for the upcoming campaign regardless of whether he signs a new contract.
