Angelina Jolie’s Plans to Leave Hollywood

Angelina Jolie is planning to leave Hollywood, California for good one day.

Per an interview with an American business newspaper (published on Tuesday, 5 December), Jolie – who has starred in “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider”, “Maleficent” and “Salt”, among other films – revealed that her seven-year divorce battle with actor Brad Pitt is a driving factor in wanting to leave behind Tinseltown.

“I’ve just been around so long … It’s part of what happened after my divorce,” the 48-year-old Los Angeles native and mother of six explained. “I lost the ability to live and travel as freely. I will move when I can.

“I grew up in quite a shallow place. Of all the places in the world, Hollywood is not a healthy place. So, you seek authenticity.”

Now, with her divorce from Pitt reportedly finalised this year, Jolie hopes to one day permanently reside at her home in Cambodia, where her eldest adopted son, Maddox (22), was born.

Ultimately, Jolie hopes that she and her brood – which also includes Pax (20), Zahara (18), Shiloh (17), and 15-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – will find peace wherever they end up.

“They are the closest people to me and my life, and they’re my close friends. We’re seven very different people, which is our strength.”
