Arsenal & Tottenham to Play Historic Hong Kong Derby

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will make history as they take their fierce North London rivalry overseas for the first time.

The two clubs are set to meet in a pre-season friendly at Hong Kong’s newly opened Kai Tak Stadium on 31 July.

The 50 000-seat venue, which recently hosted the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens, will stage one of the final warm-up games for both teams before the new English Premier League (EPL) season kicks off on 16 August.

The Gunners, returning to Hong Kong for the first time in 13 years, will be looking to maintain their recent dominance over Spurs after winning both league encounters this season.

Tottenham officials highlighted the significance of the occasion for their large Asian fanbase, while Arsenal’s management expressed excitement about reconnecting with supporters in the region.

The match is part of the Hong Kong Football Festival, which also features Liverpool battling AC Milan on 26 July in a rematch of the famous 2005 Champions League final.

With EPL clubs expanding their global reach, this derby marks a new chapter in one of English football’s most intense rivalries.
