Arsenal Triumph 2-1 Over Tottenham

Arsenal are looking hungry in their English Premier League title chase following their spirited 2-1 comeback win over Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby at the Emirates Stadium in England on Wednesday night, 15 January.

Coming off a difficult week that saw two tournament defeats and mounting injuries, including star winger Bukayo Saka’s absence and forward Gabriel Jesus’s potential season-ending knee injury, Arsenal needed a strong response.

Mikel Arteta’s men overcame Spurs’ Son Heung-min’s early first-half strike, thanks to an own goal by the visitors’ Dominic Solanke, and a sharp finish from Leandro Trossard before half-time.

The win lifted the Gunners to within four points of league leaders Liverpool, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Nottingham Forest the night before. Liverpool has a game in hand, but Arsenal’s victory keeps their title hopes alive.

Tottenham are now winless in five league games, and their manager, Ange Postecoglou, faces increasing pressure as his side languishes in 13th place.

With their season back on track, Arsenal remain contenders in a tightening title race.
