Baldoni vs Lively: Hollywood’s Messiest Legal Drama Yet?
The legal battle between “It Ends With Us” co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni continues to escalate, with a judge now ordering their lawyers to stop airing grievances in the media.
Lively first accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her. In response, Baldoni filed a $400 million-lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, alleging defamation and sabotage of the film’s marketing.
The case has become increasingly public, with both sides making heated accusations.
During a hearing on Monday, 3 February, Lively’s lawyer accused Baldoni’s legal team of unethical behaviour, citing an interview where the former was labelled a “bully”. Baldoni’s lawyer defended his remarks, claiming they were necessary to counter damaging press coverage.
To prevent further outside influence, Judge Lewis Liman has imposed restrictions on public statements, warning that the ongoing publicity could affect the jury. He also hinted at an earlier trial date if the situation worsens.
With lawsuits, a defamation battle, and even international publications having been dragged into the fray, the case is shaping up to be one of Hollywood’s most explosive legal disputes in years. The trial is currently set for March 2026.
