Black Coffee Provides Update After “Severe Travel Accident”

Fans believe Black Coffee is back home and on the mend after he posted a series of cryptic emojis via social media today, Monday 15 January.

The 47-year-old deejay – who is privately known as Nkosinathi Maphumulo – posted a house, a bandaged heart and two hands praying on Instagram and Twitter, leaving many of his followers guessing that he may be referring to his recovery from a recent accident.

Maphumulo’s management team shared a statement via Twitter last Wednesday, 10 January, revealing that he had been involved in a “severe” incident while en route to a club performance in Argentina.

A local publication later revealed that the musician was recovering from surgery after sustaining injuries during an emergency landing.

Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa, Maphumulo’s ex-wife and mother of his two children, almost immediately incurred the wrath of his fans when she said, “Best thing I’ve heard this year,” snarkily on the same social media platform.

She later defended herself, saying the post was unrelated to her ex-husband’s tragedy. “I don’t care for him; I only care about his well-being and for my children,” she clarified bluntly.
