Bob Saget Dies at 65
The world woke up on Monday morning, 10 January, to the sad news that comedy legend Bob Saget had passed away.
The raunchy stand-up comedian – best known for his role as Danny Tanner on the ‘80s and ‘90s sitcom, “Full House” – was found dead in his hotel room the day before at the Ritz-Carlton in downtown Orlando, Florida. He was 65-years-old.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office identified a man, Robert Lane Saget, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities confirmed that no foul play or substance abuse was involved; however, the Medical Examiner’s Office will have the final say on the cause and manner of death.
Saget’s “Full House” co-star and close friend, John Stamos, expressed how “gutted” he was over on Twitter, saying: “I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much, Bobby.”
“He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter. Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world,” a Saget family statement said.
Tributes from across the globe continue to pour in for the late actor.
