Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have made it official: they’re engaged to be married!

On Sunday, 12 September, the 39-year-old popstar shared her excitement on Instagram with a short video of her and her husband-to-be showing off her large diamond ring.

In the caption, she wrote: “I can’t ******* [sic] believe it!” It also included several ring emojis.

A little later, the 27-year-old personal trainer did the same on his Instagram account by sharing a photo of Spears flexing her engagement ring, and captioned it with prince and princess emojis.

Asghari’s manager, Brandon Cohen, also confirmed the announcement while talking to a US media outlet.

He said: ”The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them.”

The pair first met in October 2016 while filming Spears’ “Slumber Party” music video.

The “Toxic” hitmaker has been married twice before: first in 2004 to childhood friend Jason Alexander – but the marriage was later annulled – then later to dancer Kevin Federline in the same year, which eventually led to divorce three years later.
