Britney Spears Scores $15M Book Deal
Britney Spears has reportedly bagged herself a multi-million dollar book deal, just three months after her conservatorship was terminated.
For 13 years, Spears’ father, Jamie, has been responsible for a majority of her $60-million estate, following her heavily publicised personal issues. In November 2020, she filed court documents to remove him from the position, citing years of abuse; a year later, the Los Angeles County Superior Court terminated her conservatorship for good.
Now, according to US media outlets, the 40-year-old “Lucky” songstress will tell all in an upcoming memoir after inking a lucrative deal with publishing house, Simon & Schuster.
Per these reports, multiple publishers vied for the rights to Spears’ memoir, which will cover a wide range of topics including both her personal and professional lives. Ultimately, Simon & Schuster won out with a bid worth $15 million.
News of the memoir comes a month after the release of sister Jamie Lynn Spears’ own memoir, “Things I Should Have Said”, which lifted the lid on the Spears family, and thus caused the existing rift between the two women to widen further.
A release date for Spears’ memoir is not yet known, but fans and scandal-lovers alike doubtlessly can’t wait to hear the songstress spill the tea in her own words!
