Bujy Bikwa Tells All in a Candid Interview
Media personality Bujy Bikwa has revealed the swift downfall he faced after his fight with actress and musician Boity Thulo just over a year ago.
In an interview published with a local publication on Sunday, 16 October, Bikwa opened up on his life and how his impulsive actions have come to haunt him – to the point where he even lost his home.
The former Metro FM radio personality was spotted at the Courtyard Hotel in Midrand, Johannesburg, enjoying a drink with Thulo in October 2021.
According to reports, the pair had a disagreement about sangomas before Bikwa allegedly threw a glass of red wine at the rapper’s face, which cut her.
He has since been called a perpetrator of gender-based violence (GBV) by many, resulting in missed income opportunities that would leave him unable to pay his own rent or medical bills.
“I missed two television shows. The first one I was supposed to shoot last year and the second one was coming this year. So those are all gone. I know they are both on television now. I have seen them,” Bikwa said.
Shortly after the incident, Bikwa joined in a march against GBV arranged by the Khuzekani Madoda organisation, with many finding the action ironic rather than noble.
