Cause of Betty White’s Death Revealed
Betty White’s cause of death has been revealed, nearly two weeks after she passed away.
The 99-year-old actress – whose extensive filmography included “The Golden Girls”, “Hot in Cleveland” and “The Lorax” – passed away at her home in Los Angeles, California on 31 December.
On Monday, 10 January, US media outlets obtained White’s death certificate from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. According to the certificate, she died of a cerebrovascular accident, or stroke. The stroke occurred six days before her death.
Prior to her passing, White – who would have turned 100 on 17 January – remarked during a magazine interview that she was “so lucky to be in such good health and feel so good at this age.”
Although her passing is saddening, her agent Jeff Witjas said in a statement released last week, he reassured fans that she died peacefully.
“I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden,” he said. “She believed she would be with him again.”
