Celeb Twitter Round-Up: Is Bonang Matheba Dating Banele Mbere?
Media personality, Bonang Matheba, has sparked dating rumours after tagging one half of the musical ensemble, Major League DJz, in a highly explicit Instagram Story post.
According to the recent Story post, Matheba expresses her wish for a certain someone to “come home” so that she could, er, park herself on their countenance:
As if the thirst wasn’t enough, eagle-eyed viewers saw that she had tagged Banele Mbere of Major League DJz:
This is not the first time that Matheba and Mbere have been romantically linked: per reports, the 35-year-old TV presenter and the 31-year-old deejay were said to be dating after they were spotted in each other’s company on multiple occasions.
Entertainment blogger/resident drama-seeker Musa Khawula seemed to think that Matheba’s raunchy post is legit evidence of the pair rekindling their alleged relationship:
This had Mzansi tweeps up in arms, their emotions ranging from disbelief to intrigue:
@nunerian can’t believe that Mbere – and thus Major League DJz as a whole – are setting their sights on SA’s leading (bad) ladies:
@_TheSniper, on the other hand, thinks that Matheba is making a downgrade:
Speaking of the American millionaire …
@lihlelelogmail1 told us to stop acting brand-new, as Matheba and Mbere’s “relationship” didn’t just appear out of nowhere:
@Collen_KM, a regular on the Twitter streets, claimed the pair weren’t dating, but @lihlelelogmail1 chimed in again:
For what it’s worth, @LaBeu_ tried to come up with a reasonable explanation for the raunchy Story post, to no avail:
Meanwhile, everyone is intrigued by the fact that Matheba and Mbere respectively dated rappers AKA and Nadia Nakai in the past, and now it seems like they’ve switched partners (with AKA and Nakai making their relationship official back in March):
Neither Matheba nor Mbere have commented on the romance reports just yet, but you can best believe that tweeps are waiting anxiously for any word (or equally thirsty posts) from them!
