D4vd Arrested Over Discovery of Girl’s Body in His Tesla
Acclaimed singer-songwriter d4vd, born David Burke, was arrested on Thursday, 16 April, by police and United States Marshals in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
The 21-year-old artist was taken into custody at a Hollywood Hills residence in Los Angeles, California, after officers used a ramming device to breach the property.
The arrest follows a harrowing investigation launched in September 2025, when Rivas’ dismembered remains were discovered in a Tesla registered to Burke. The vehicle had been abandoned at a Hollywood tow yard, where staff reported a “foul smell” emanating from the boot.
Burke, who rose to fame with the hit “Romantic Homicide”, has been a primary target of a grand jury probe for months. While prosecutors are currently weighing formal charges, Burke’s legal team has maintained his innocence.
In a statement, his lawyer Blair Berk said, “Let us be clear—the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death.”
The musician is currently being held without bail. Rivas’ family, who reported her missing several times in 2024, is expected to attend a press conference regarding the case this coming Monday, 20 April.
