Declan Rice Determined to Play for Arsenal Despite Injury
Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice is pushing to play through a broken toe as the Gunners prepare for a critical English Premier League match against Chelsea on Sunday, 10 November.
The 25-year-old sustained the injury in Arsenal’s defeat to Newcastle last Saturday, 2 November, which forced him to sit out their UEFA Champions League loss to Inter Milan.
Despite the setback, Rice has shown remarkable determination to return to action, even though the injury has prevented him from training all week.
His eagerness to contribute to the Gunners’ campaign comes as the team grapples with inconsistent recent form, having won just one of their last four matches. This makes the London derby even more significant, with Rice ready to step up for his club at a crucial moment.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, however, faces a tough decision on whether to play Rice and risk further injury, or give him time to recover fully.
In addition to his club commitments, Rice has been named in England’s squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Greece and the Republic of Ireland, where his role could be pivotal amid injuries to other key players.
