Former Child Star, 19, Dies By Suicide
Two days after the body of former child star, Matthew Mindler, was found, the cause of death has been revealed.
On Saturday, 28 August, 19-year-old Mindler was found dead in Manor Township near his college campus, Millersville University, in Pennsylvania. He was last sighted in his student dormitory building four days’ prior.
On Monday, 30 August, Lancaster County Coroner’s Office told a local media outlet that his death had been ruled as suicide. However, the exact nature of his suicide has yet to be confirmed as the coroner is awaiting the results of toxicology reports.
Mindler was best known for starring opposite Paul Rudd in the 2011 film, “Our Idiot Brother”. He also starred alongside Nasim Pedrad in the 2016 television movie, “Chad: An American Boy”.
University officials paid tribute to Mindler in a recent statement: “This is a time of grief for the family, our campus and the community. I ask that the campus community come together to support each other, and our students, during this difficult time.”
