Jamie Lynn Spears Comes Under Fire During Sister’s Conservatorship Battle
Jamie Lynn Spears, the younger sister of Britney Spears, has entered the fray of the pop star’s conservatorship battle, following claims that she and the rest of the Spears clan are receiving death threats.
The 30-year-old country singer has shown support for her older sister’s ongoing legal battles by sharing how “proud” she is of her on social media.
In between all this, she has also claimed that her family has been targeted by trolls, especially her children, 13-year-old Maddie – shared with her ex, Casey Aldrige – and three-year-old Ivey Joan, whom Spears has with husband, Jamie Watson.
Taking to her Instagram Stories over the weekend, the “Zoey 101” alum said: “Hi, I respect that everyone has the right to express themselves, but can we please stop with the death threats, especially the death threats to children.”
She also pledged her love for her older sister: “Since the day I was born, I’ve only loved, adored and supported my sister. I mean this is my freaking big sister … I’m so proud of her for using her voice.”
Last month, Spears made an impassioned plea to have her “life back” to a Californian judge to remove her father, Jamie Spears, as conservator of her estate, which he has been for the past 13 years.
However, new court documents filed on Wednesday, 30 June, at the Los Angeles Superior Court show that the judge denied the request.
Jamie Lynn Spears said on ending the conservatorship: “As long as she’s happy. So let’s keep praying. That’s all.”
