Jeff Bezos Engaged to Long-Term Girlfriend

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend, Lauren Sánchez, have reportedly made the decision to tie the knot.

Engagement rumours have been swirling around the couple recently; the 53-year-old former broadcaster was spotted with a giant diamond ring on her finger as they sailed on Bezos’ $500 million superyacht off the coast of Cannes, France over the weekend.

By Monday, 22 May, an anonymous insider informed several publications that the rumours were true: the lovebirds have decided to walk down the aisle together. It’s believed that Bezos proposed to Sánchez on the yacht, away from the public eye.

While the pair currently keep their relationship away from the media as much as possible, their unorthodox start caught the world’s attention in 2019 when it was revealed that the two – who were both married to other people at the time – were having an affair with each other.

Bezo’s wife of 25 years, MacKenzie, announced their divorce via social media that same year, with both sides claiming that the split was “amicable”.

Between the 59-year-old tech entrepreneur and Sánchez, they will have seven children in total as Bezos has four children from his first marriage while his new fiance has three children from previous relationships.
