#JusticeForMohBad Campaign Launched
Fans and fellow celebrities of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, are calling for justice for the late Nigerian singer after his untimely death.
Many were left shaken when the management team of the 27-year-old star shared the sad news of his passing on Tuesday, 12 September. However, even more were left puzzled as to the official cause of death, which has yet to be revealed.
On Monday, 18 September, the Nigerian Police Force announced during a press conference that they would be launching an investigation into the issue, specifically focussing on their own negligence of a legal petition Aloba had raised against show promoter Samson Balgun and 15 other people.
According to one local publication, Aloba reportedly told the police that he was concerned about a “threat to life, malicious damage of properties valued at the sum of five million naira, assault, occasional harm, oppression, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.”
Aloba accused Balgun, who is also known as Sam Larry, and 15 others of attacking him during a music video shoot at the end of June. It’s unclear whether the late musician had any proof at the time to back up the accusations, which have resurfaced since his death.
Friends and fans have bemoaned the negligence of the police since the petition surfaced.
