Kelly Clarkson Reaches Divorce Settlement with Ex-Hubby
Nearly two years after songstress Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce from Brandon Blackstock after seven years of marriage, the exes appear to have reached a settlement.
Clarkson, 39, married the 45-year-old former talent manager in 2013, and they share two children together – River, 7, and Remington, 5.
According to reports from 8 March, Judge Scott Gordon of the Los Angeles Superior Court signed off on the terms for their divorce settlement.
Per these reports, Clarkson has been granted primary custody of the children, who will stay at her Los Angeles residence. In terms of child support, she will pay $45 601 per month.
The children are allowed to visit Blackstock one weekend per month at the former couple’s ranch in Montana – the property now legally belongs to Clarkson, so her ex-hubby will reside there until 1 June.
Additionally, the “Breakaway” singer must pay him a one-time payment of over $1.3 million, as well as pay him $115 000 in spousal support per month until 31 January 2024.
