Man City Legend Erling Haaland Shines in Norway Clash

The English Premier League (EPL) may be on a short break at the moment, but Manchester City icon, Erling Haaland, is showing no signs of slowing down.

The 23-year-old forward was the star of the show as he joined Norway for their UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying 4-0 win against hosts Cyprus at the AEK Arena in Larnaca last night, Thursday 12 October 2023.

A lightning-fast Haaland scored two of the four goals within just seven minutes during the second half of the match, giving his team a broad victory margin. The Norwegian star will rejoin his team again, as they take on Spain in Oslo, Norway this Sunday, 15 October.

Haaland is not the only Man City star to be called up for international duty during the EPL break. Seven other City players proudly represented their national teams across the world last night, with three of the four teams featuring Citizens players walking away with a victory.

The Manchester-based EPL squad will resume training together at the City Football Academy next Wednesday, 18 October. Their first match will be against Brighton & Hove Albion the following weekend.
