Man City Set Personal UEFA Champions League Record
Manchester City have set a personal UEFA Champions League record.
According to reports, City – who are sitting pretty at the top of Group G with 18 points in the current edition of the tournament – have scored a total of 31 goals thus far.
In the group stage, the English outfit scored 14 goals. As for the remaining 17 goals, these were netted across six matches in the tournament’s knockout phase.
One of these goals was scored by Norwegian winger Oscar Bobb, who recently signed a contract extension with the club: Bobb contributed to their 3-2 victory over FK Crvena zvezda in their group stage match on 13 December 2023.
It’s worth noting that Bobb was part of the City squad that lifted the UEFA Super Cup last August, so doubtlessly he will be eager to prove his mettle during their current Champions League campaign.
Manchester City are set to take on FC Copenhagen in UEFA action at Etihad Stadium in Manchester, England next Wednesday, 6 March.
