Man City Set to Complete £100m Grealish Transfer Deal
Manchester City are expected to conclude the record-breaking signing of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa on Wednesday, 4 July.
The Sky Blues submitted their £100m bid for the 25-year-old England international on Friday, 31 July, and Villa has decided to accept the offer.
The Villans tried to retain their star-player by offering him an improved deal, but a transfer for a record fee to join the Premier League champions seemed very lucrative for the midfielder.
Grealish joined Aston Villa at the age of six and became their academy graduate – he has made over 200 appearances for the club, scoring 32 goals.
Although his departure is a bitter blow to his boyhood club, Villa manager, Dean Smith, has already made several impressive signings and is eyeing Chealsea’s Tammy Abraham as a possible replacement.
According to reports, Grealish is already busy doing his transfer medical check ups, with an official announcement set to be made tomorrow, on Thursday, 5 August.
