Manchester United Eyeing Sundowns Star’s Son
The son of Mamelodi Sundowns star Bradley “Surprise” Ralani has caught the eye of none other than Manchester United.
Most recently, the South African national U16 team took part in a UEFA development tournament in Poland. Although they didn’t win, observers from UEFA were impressed by the performances of Emile Witbooi, Kabelo Sibande, Lazola Maku and Bohloko Neo.
Per reports, of these four players, midfielder Witbooi – Ralani’s 15-year-old son, who is also a student at the SAFA School of Excellent – specifically stood out and has since attracted interest from United.
Zipho Dlangalala, coach of the U16 team, concurred with these reports, pinpointing Witbooi as someone whose talent needs to be nurtured.
“He, like most South African kids that are talented, is very skillful and creative,” Dlangalala said in a recent interview with a local media outlet. “He and many other players like him … we need to give them special treatment.
“We need to accept that some players are very special and different. Players like your Neymar, Messi and Ronaldinho will not be where they are if they were not given special treatment.”
Could we possibly see Witbooi playing for Manchester United one day? As always, watch this space!
