Maritzburg United Signs THREE Players

Maritzburg United have reportedly signed three former Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch players.

According to several news outlets, Maritzburg have signed defenders Wayde Jooste, Kgotso Moleko and Mogamad De Goede who previously played for Pirates, Chiefs and Stellenbosch, respectively.

“All deals have been concluded and will be announced by Maritzburg before [coach Fadlu Davids] takes charge of his first game against TS Galaxy on 30 December at Harry Gwala Stadium,” one report reads.

Both Jooste and Moleko have been free agents after they were let go by their respective clubs in July. As for De Goede, he signed with Maritzburg after they recently offered him a tantalising three-year deal.

All three defenders will provide a significant boost for Davids as he looks to bolster his squad’s backline in their current Premier League Soccer campaign. The club is currently sitting at the bottom of the rankings in 16th place with 11 points and are at risk of being relegated.
