Megha Thakur, 21, Passes Away

Canadian TikToker and body positivity influencer Megha Thakur has passed away at the age of 21.

Recently, Thakur’s parents took to her Instagram – where she boasted over 105 000 followers in addition to her 940 000 TikTok followers – to post a memoriam post.

“It is with heavy hearts we announce the light of our life, our kind, caring, and beautiful daughter, Megha Thakur, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on November 24, 2022 in the early morning hours,” they wrote in the caption without specifying the cause of death.

“Megha was a confident and independent young woman,” the post continues. “She will be dearly missed. She loved her fans and would have wanted you to know of her passing. At this time, we request your blessings for Megha. Your thoughts and prayers will be with her in her onward journey.”

Many saddened followers paid tribute to Thakur, with one writing, “I’m very sad that she is physically no longer here. But what she stood for, the confidence she exuded and instilled in her audience is a legacy that will live on forever.”
