Michael Mosley’s Wife Bids Farewell

Clare Mosley, wife to the renowned dietician Michael Mosley, has made peace with the news of her recently deceased husband.

“I don’t know quite where to begin with this,” she told an international publication on Monday, 10 June.

“It’s devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband. We had an incredibly lucky life together,” she said before continuing: “We loved each other very much and were so happy together.”

The body of the 67-year-old television presenter was found the day before on the Greek Island of Symi after he went missing earlier in the week. According to his wife, Michael collapsed while out on a walk. Officials have ruled out any foul play but a full autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death.

Michael made a name for himself as a journalist and documentary producer who focuses on scientific ways to improve people’s health and well-being. The dietician also popularised the 5:2 diet, which permitted people to eat normally for five days, but consumed fewer than 600 calories for the other two days in the week.

The family have not yet shared details about where or when he will be laid to rest.
