Mutodi Neshehe, 46, Passes Away
Popular actor, Mutodi Neshehe, has unexpectedly died at the age of 46.
The family of the former “Muvhango” star announced the tragic news on Thursday evening, 1 July, explaining that he had passed away that very day. The cause of death was not established.
The statement reads: “[Neshehe] was our brother, uncle, father, mentor, role model and actor. He will be sorely missed by his family and close friends.”
Adding that more information regarding his passing and funeral arrangements “will be announced in due course”, Neshehe’s family also asked for privacy at this time.
Born in 1975 in Soweto, Gauteng, Neshehe began acting when he was just four-years-old. After studying and working in America, he returned to South Africa in 2004, and starred in local films and television shows such as “Lullaby”, “Jacob’s Cross” and “Skwizas”.
To “Muvhango” fans, he is best known for playing the heart-throbbingly handsome Ndalamo Mukwevho.
Tributes for the late actor have poured in on social media, with friend and radio personality, Eusebius McKaiser, tweeting: “I can’t imagine how torn your beautiful daughters must be. May they, over time, cherish memories of you as a loving dad.”
Neshehe is survived by his wife, Leslee, and their two daughters.
