NaakMusiQ Beats Cassper Nyovest in Boxing Match

Cassper Nyovest has been humbled following his loss to NaakMusiQ in their celebrity boxing match on Saturday night, 9 April.

Fans in attendance at the bout, which took place at Sun City, watched as NaakMusiQ and Nyovest exchanged a flurry of ducks and punches for five three-minute rounds.

After the bout concluded, the “Ntombi” musician was named the winner when two of the judges ruled in his favour, while the third judge ruled in Nyovest’s.

“There’s very few things I remember from being in the ring,” NaakMusiQ said after the fight. “I was really tired. Cassper was punching. All I [told myself] is don’t fall.”

As for Nyovest, the “Tito Mboweni” rapper made his desire for a rematch known on Twitter the following day, while also expressing his happiness at how much their fight spotlighted boxing in South Africa.

“Sun City packed to come watch boxing and it all started with a dream to bring boxing to the big stage,” he wrote. “Took an L But we come [sic] back stronger. We will hear from the other team when they want da rematch, I say 3 Months [sic] would be enough and we get back in.”
