Njabulo Blom Rejoins Kaizer Chiefs
Defender Njabulo Blom is back in the Kaizer Chiefs fold!
On Tuesday, 3 September, Amakhosi released the following statement on their website:
“Kaizer Chiefs have reunited with utility player Njabulo Blom, who returns to the club after his recent stint with St. Louis City FC in the United States. Blom, a talented and versatile footballer, has signed a one-year loan deal with Amakhosi, and will once again don the famous Gold and Black [sic] jersey.”
In 2023, Blom left the Premier Soccer League to join Major League Soccer, where he played for City FC. However, he lost favour with coach John Hackworth following a suspension for undisclosed disciplinary issues last month.
Now that he’s back on South African soil, the 24-year-old is excited to be playing for his old team again.
“I am delighted to be back at Kaizer Chiefs, a club that holds a special place in my heart,” he said, “and I look forward to working with the team and contributing to our success under coach Nasreddine Nabi.
“The support from the fans has always motivated me, and I can’t wait to play in front of the Khosi nation again.”
