Ntseki Replaces Zwane as Kaizer Chiefs Coach

Arthur Zwane has been demoted to assistant manager of Kaizer Chiefs in the wake of a new head coach being appointed.

On Wednesday, 28 June, club chairman Kaizer Motaung Senior revealed in a statement that Molefi Ntseki was replacing Zwane.

“We would like to congratulate coach Ntseki and thank him for accepting this huge responsibility,” Motaung said. “We know it’s not an easy task, but we believe his experience and knowledge will help us improve and achieve our goals as Kaizer Chiefs.”

Prior to his appointment, Ntseki worked for two years as the head of Chiefs’ technical and youth training. He also served as the coach of the South African national team from 2019 to 2021.

Chiefs have had an unsuccessful 2022/2023 campaign under Zwane, who has been blamed for leading the club to a disappointing fourth-place finish on the Premier Soccer League rankings.

As such, Ntseki wants to bring the club back to its glory days for the sake of the fans: “I thank them for their confidence and belief in me to become the captain of the ship. I look forward to working with everyone involved in the technical team to bring joy to our millions of Amakhosi supporters around the world.”
