Orbit College Players Left Stranded

Following Orbit College’s rapid relegation from the Betway Premiership back to the Motsepe Foundation Championship, the club’s senior playing squad has been left entirely in limbo. Management’s strict silence regarding contract renewals and immediate departures has sparked growing frustration among the squad.

The “Mswenko Boys” finished at the bottom of the 2025/2026 top-flight standings. To salvage their status mid-season, ownership heavily recruited seasoned veteran campaigners to provide leadership. Now, those same players are facing an anxious wait as the countdown to pre-season training begins without any official feedback.

Insiders close to the team’s operations confirmed that formal squad discussions have yet to get underway. A source close to the inner workings of the club revealed the depth of the squad’s mounting anxiety, stating:

“The lack of clarity has frustrated some players, particularly those in the latter stages of their careers who require certainty and sufficient time to plan their next move.”

With a massive squad overhaul expected, the technical team is scheduled to meet later this week. For now, the administrative silence continues, leaving out-of-contract stars with no answers regarding their professional future.
