Orlando Pirates Allegedly Release Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo

Orlando Pirates have seemingly released one of their midfielders, Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo.
Over the weekend, several media publications reported that Ndlondlo’s contract had expired last Monday, 30 June. However, the Buccaneers – in anticipation of new players joining the club – opted against renewing his contract.
Any official announcement regarding the 30-year-old midfielder’s alleged departure has yet to be made.
Ndlondlo joined Pirates from Marumo Gallants in 2022, and he featured prominently under the leadership of coach Jose Riveiro.
At some point, however, he fell out of favour with the 49-year-old Bucs tactician, and was subsequently given very limited playing time: he only made 13 appearances across all competitions during the 2024/25 season.
Now apparently a free agent, Ndlondlo can join any outfit he chooses. Of course, his age and R14.5-million price tag may be seen as drawbacks, especially for clubs looking for long-term investments or those operating with tighter budgets.
Here’s hoping Ndlondlo can land on his feet soon!
