Pete Davidson Faces 50 Hours of Community Service

Comedian Pete Davidson will have plenty of time to think about the consequences of reckless driving, as he faces 50 hours of community service to make up for his actions.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office released a public statement on Monday, 24 July, announcing that the 29-year-old actor has entered an 18-month diversion program after being charged with reckless driving in June.

Davidson and his girlfriend, actress Chase Sui Wonders, crashed their car into a Beverly Hills home — just after he had jumped a curb and hit a fire hydrant — in Los Angeles, California in early March this year.

Along with the 50 hours of community service, Davidson will be required to attend 12 hours of traffic school and be educated on the possible results of such driving at a hospital or morgue.

The New York City Fire Department has invited Davidson — who lives in New York and as such can serve his sentence in the state — to fulfil his community service obligations with them, considering he is “the son of a 9/11 hero”.
