Pixar Drops “Lightyear” Teaser Trailer

Chris Evans has swapped his super suit for a spacesuit in the official teaser trailer for the “Toy Story” spin-off film, “Lightyear”.

The upcoming Pixar flick will center around the titular character, Buzz Lightyear, who was famously voiced by Tim Allen in the “Toy Story” quadrilogy; more specifically, it will delve into the backstory of the “real” space ranger who inspired the action figure.

Debuting on Wednesday, 27 October, the 90-second trailer shows Buzz – voiced by Evans of “Captain America” fame – preparing to embark on a dangerous mission in outer space.

Taking to Twitter, Evans shared his excitement about the trailer.

He wrote: “I’m covered in goosebumps. And will be every time I watch this trailer … Or have any thought whatsoever between now and (June) cause nothing has ever made me feel more joy and gratitude than knowing I’m a part of this.”

He continued: “Animated (movies) were an enormous part of my childhood. They were my escape. My adventures. My dreams. They were my first window into the magic of storytelling and performing.”

“Lightyear” is scheduled to be released on 17 June 2022 – and we can’t wait!
