The stage is set for a thrilling Soweto Derby as Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates clash in the 2025 Nedbank Cup final at Durban’s iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium next month.

Chiefs secured their spot with a stunning 2-1 comeback victory over Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, Gauteng on Sunday, 14 April.

Despite trailing early, Amakhosi displayed resilience and determination to overturn the deficit, igniting celebrations among their supporters.

Earlier the same day, Pirates advanced to their third consecutive Nedbank Cup final by defeating Marumo Gallants 1-0 at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, Gauteng.

Kabelo Dlamini’s first-half goal proved decisive, underscoring the Buccaneers’ consistent performance in the competition.

This marks the first time in six years that the Nedbank Cup final returns to Moses Mabhida Stadium, promising an electrifying atmosphere as these historic rivals vie for glory.

The last time these giants met, the Bucs secured a 1-0 victory over the Chiefs. The Chiefs, looking for redemption, will be looking to settle the score.
