Tanzanian Star Joins Moroka Swallows
Midfielder David Ulomi is the latest player to join Moroka Swallows FC!
The Swallows confirmed the signing on Thursday, 2 February, via their official Twitter account, introducing him as David Uromi: “Welcome David Uromi to the Birds Nest [sic].”
Per the tweet, the 23-year-old Tanzanian signed a two-year deal with the club “with an option”, presumably referring to an option to extend the deal if he proves his mettle.
Prior to the signing, he had played for Sudanese outfit, Al-Hilal Club.
Swallows’ nest has grown enormously, thanks to the addition of Ulomi, as well as Evans Rusike, Daniel Akpeyi, and Bongani Sam. Their signings come soon after the club’s FIFA-imposed transfer ban was lifted recently.
The Dube Birds take on Richards Bay at Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg today, Friday 3 February – if anything, we may just see Ulomi in action!
