Taylor Swift Thanks Travis Kelce in Awards Speech

Taylor Swift is winning in life AND in love!

On Wednesday, 11 September, Swift won seven awards at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), which were held at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York – this included Video of the Year, which she won alongside Post Malone for their smash hit collaboration, “Fortnight”.

While accepting this award, the 34-year-old songstress gave a heartfelt shout-out to her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who was absent from the ceremony as he was at football training for the Kansas City Chiefs.

“I would always just hear someone cheering from across the studio where we were shooting [the ‘Fortnight’ music video],” she told the audience. “And that one person was my boyfriend, Travis.

“Everything this man touches turns into happiness and fun and magic, and I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I’ll always remember that.”

With a total of 30 VMAs to her name and a great boyfriend in tow, there’s clearly nothing that can bring Swift down at this point!
