Tha Simelane Joins “Uzalo”

Tha Simelane is joining the cast of “Uzalo”!

In a recent interview with a local media outlet, the 35-year-old socialite revealed that he will be playing Jasper, a rich yet sinister-sounding man from Johannesburg who goes after characters GC and Thobile after lending them his car.

Simelane gushed about landing the role on the popular soapie, saying: “‘Uzalo’ is the biggest TV show in Mzansi. So, saying that I’m excited for [sic] acting in it is an understatement.”

He added: “I don’t know how I feel. I am very happy. I wish one day I get a big role in a big TV drama. I like acting and people love me.”

Simelane’s new acting gig comes two months after his bestie, businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize, also joined “Uzalo” to play the cameo role of MaMkhize.

She said at the time: “I am extremely excited for my guest appearance on ‘Uzalo’ – what a fun experience it was to join the cast. I can’t wait for everyone to see another side of my many hidden talents.”
