Thembisa Mdoda-Nxumalo Survives COVID-19 Scare
Thembisa Mdoda-Nxumalo is back home after she was hospitalised for the coronavirus.
Earlier this month, fans flew into panic-mode when the 38-year-old television personality’s family revealed that she was “fighting for dear life” at both the Morningside and Sandton Mediclinics in Johannesburg.
Now, her fans can relax after Mdoda-Nxumalo posted a press release on Sunday, 22 August, in which she provided a very positive update.
Sharing this release on Twitter, “The Queen” actress thanked her supporters, colleagues and friends for their well-wishes, as well as the medical staff who treated her.
She also expressed her gratitude to her family: “My children and husband have been my saving grace … I was in hospital on and off for two months from April before spending a full month in hospital recently. It has been a frightening time.”
Eager to get back to work, Mdoda-Nxumalo added: ““We have witnessed so many shocking deaths from this pandemic and I do not take it for granted that I pulled through. To be able to leave the hospital and go straight home is a blessing I do not take for granted.”
