Thierry Henry Airs Concerns For Neymar’s Mental Health
Belgium national team assistant manager, Thierry Henry, has revealed that he is worried about Neymar, following his poor performance during Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-0 loss against Nice.
The Brazilian football star has been struggling to find form during the current season – to date, the 2021/22 campaign is the worst while wearing a PSG shirt.
PSG have won three consecutive league titles since signing him in 2017, however, Neymar has only scored four goals and provided four assists in his 18 appearances this season.
He was also benched for a long time due to injury woes that cost him another 18 games.
Henry, has questioned his psychological state, saying: “Neymar has often talked in his recent interviews about his well-being, about the pressure, so my first thought is: ‘Is he alright?’”
Henry’s question is in relation to Neymar’s comments from an interview last year where he hinted that the 2022 FIFA World Cup could be his last.
