Tinkler Warns of ‘Crazy Things’ Ahead of Arrows Clash

Sekhukhune United travel to Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal to face Golden Arrows in a high-stakes encounter this Sunday, 22 March

Currently sitting third with 34 points, the visitors are under immense pressure to secure continental qualification as rivals like AmaZulu and Kaizer Chiefs close the gap.

Coach Eric Tinkler has warned his squad that the final ten fixtures often produce “strange and funny results” due to the increased intensity of teams fighting for their lives. Tinkler insists his side must expect “crazy things” during this unpredictable run-in.

Despite their strong defensive record, a lack of clinical finishing has hampered progress. Following a goalless draw with Polokwane City, Tinkler highlighted the need for efficiency, stating, “the chances we create we have to bury them”. While he remains focused on maintaining clean sheets, he acknowledges that there is now no margin for error.

Arrows, currently eighth, will be equally desperate for points to solidify their top-eight standing. With Sekhukhune holding a narrow historical edge, Tinkler knows his side must find their spark to avoid being the next victim of the season’s “strange” late-stage drama.
