Toaster Nsabata Rejoins Sekhukhune

Two years after leaving Sekhukhune United, Toaster Nsabata has returned to the fold.

On Sunday, 13 July, Sekhukhune announced the signing of the 31-year-old Zambian goalkeeper in a tweet:

“Sekhukhune United confirms the signing of Toaster Nsabata from ZESCO UNITED [sic]. Toaster returns to Babina Noko to add invaluable depth in goal. Welcome home, Toaster!”

According to reports, Nsabata – who left Sekhukhune to join Zesco in July 2023 – has been offered a two-year deal. Details regarding his salary remain unknown.

During his first stint at Babina Noko, the burly shotstopper made 36 appearances across all competitions, maintaining 14 clean sheets and conceding 29 goals.

His arrival coincides with a major revamp that is currently under way at the Limpopo-based club ahead of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season. The restructuring includes the departure of players such as goalie Ali Badra Sangare.

With Sangare gone, it will be interesting to see how Nsabata fares in his second stint with Sekhukhune, and whether he still has the chops to command the goal. As always, watch this space!
